After we got the boys down for the night, Michelle and I put up a decorative border in the girls bedroom. It added a nice touch to the room which otherwise had solid purple walls.

Tomorrow morning my folks start their drive from Chicago to New Hampshire. The girls are counting down the days, as they do whenever some family comes to visit.
I was having some trouble with the iMac seeing the internet. It was strange. The laptop could see the internet but the Apple Airport seemed to not be passing traffic to the iMac which had a wired connection. It was likely a temporary side effect of my tinkering around with the firewall. A little resetting of all the hardware involved seems to have cleared things up.
My friend, Will, broke down and bought a TiVo. It hasn't taken long, but I think he's a convert. Michelle loves having one and thinks more moms would if there was a way to explain it so that moms would "get it". When I bought ours, I first had to ask Michelle to "trust me, be patient, you'll love it". It's just too hard to explain. But once you've seen one used for a while, it seems cool. Once you owned one for a while you are amazed at how it changes your TV viewing habits. I consider ours much more valuable than a DVD player.
