It's a day off, and yet I feel I need another one. The problem with having National holidays is that everyone has them. So my goals of making appointments with advisors, teachers, co-workers, and dropping off checks, and going to different buildings to fill out forms all have to be put on hold. I have a list of things to do and I couldn't do any of them today. The day has kind of been wasted. I don't know when I am going to get to them now. I figure everyone is just dying to know my schedule so here it is...On M-W-F I have class from 10:00-11:00, then I go to work from 11:30-2:30, then I do research from 3:00-6:00. On T-H I work from 11:00-6:00. On Monday nights I will have my Psychology Association meetings from 6:00-8:00. On Tuesday nights I will have research team meetings from 6:30-7:30. It appears I have time to run errands on T-H mornings before about 10:30 when I walk to my car. The problem is I'm so tired by that point all I want to do is relax in my room! Oh, it will get better. My palm pilot is my best friend right now. The to-do list and date book are keeping me sane. It needs to have a "where I hide things" list. See, I am one of those people who says "I'll just put this _____ right here and I won't forget where it is". Then, I come back for it with no clue where it is. Anyways, Happy Birthday Cassidy! Sorry I couldn't be there for your party :( Oh yeah, hey Chris, if you get the chance, download the song 'starry eyed surprise' by Paul Okenfold- it's pretty dope!
Dear Scooz,
National holidays are for honoring and learning about the individual or individuals the day was set aside to honor.
So like me and my family you should have spent the day reading about Dr King and meditating on his message.
Love
Tom
Like me, you should of spent the day at work and waited for Casimir Pulaski day to take a day off.
Posted by: Chris at January 22, 2003 07:11 AMI miss getting Casimir Pulaski day off. I, too, worked on Monday (MLK Day). I'm sure that Al Sharpton will be after my employer once Al becomes President. *grin*
