Now that there are a few more adults in the house, I have a few minutes to give an update. Our neighbor Angie came over this morning to watch Abby and the boys while I went into Nashua to pick up Michelle from the hospital. Despite our best efforts to emphasize that we needed to check out on time, there was still over an hour of this and thats to do before we were finally able to go. By the time the three of us got home around 11:15, Angie had been replaced by Mr. Russell.
Russell stayed with Michelle and the kids while I hopped back in the car to get mom from the airport. Luckily she only had to wait about 20 minutes. When we got back home the NordicTrack truck was in our driveway. I was a little annoyed (inside) because they said they were going to drop it off two days ago, then said yesterday. In both cases I was home all day and they didn't show. Here I'm at the busiest day of the week and of course then they show up.
After the boys were down napping (all three) the ladies let me rest for a short spell. Mom then helped me take Michael and Daniel for their two year pediatrician exam. The boys are developmentally fine but Daniel has a low grade viral flu/fever. Again, the timing couldn't be better -- having a virus in the house on the day you bring a new baby home. It's making Daniel very lethargic.
On the way home I tried to get the prescription pain killer Michelle needs to handle the post-caesarian aches and pains. They said it would be about an hour to fill the order. It's going to be a long hour for Michelle. That prescription is something you should get filled as you're driving home from the hospital, don't wait until the hospital medication wears off.
I'm off now to pick up dinner and Michelle's medicine. It's still chaos, but at least I'm not facing it alone. It's been a bit challenging because I've been having morning Norwalk virus relapses, kind of like my nephew William Andrew had last month.
BTW, congrats to Chris and Katie on the sale of your home. I only recently found out the fun and adventures of selling one home to buy another. Best of luck in your sale and moving into the new house.
Congratulations to you all, please don't send Grandma home with any viruses, we have plenty. Yesterday we had a going away dinner and I asked William if he wanted to go to New Hampshire, he smiled real big and shook his head yes. Then he turned to Lys and said 'Dad said I could get a new hampster!' Maybe I'll send that in to Sprint and they can make a cellular commercial out of it. Good luck, we look forward to pictures (with all your free time).
