That's me! The future Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. In two years I will have those letters after my name. Suzanne L Bilik, LCPC.
I have so much on my mind that I can't sleep right now. This has probably been the most exciting day in my life. Yesterday was so busy, I wanted to call everyone myself, but I was never home! After research, my roommate said we should go to dinner to celebrate. So we went to my choice of restaurant, Garden of Paradise. This is a local 'Greek' place where I could get an omelet. Then after that, my close friend Amanda (who also was admitted) and some of our friends went out to a bar. It was hard not to continuously talk about it in front of other friends who didn't make it in.
I still can't get over how good it feels right now. Yesterday walking through Degarmo Hall was one of the most memorable moments. Many of the professors came up and either hugged me or shook my hand. I felt a lot of them understood how important this was to me. I was also very excited to see all the emails I received. I can't tell you how good this all feels.
This makes my 'To-Do' list even longer. I have a lot of papers I have to sign for this to make it official. I did get a tuition waver, however, I did not get an assistantship. So the next few weeks I will be spending trying to find another job. I know I can work at the YWCA as a back up, but I'd rather not.
I could keep going on and on but I should stop. I will be home tomorrow so I can talk more then. Thanks everyone for all of your support!!!!!!
Major MAJOR kudos. I'm so happy for you.
Guess what Michelle and I dug up this morning? We were looking for pictures from our early married days and found some early pictures of your yellow CRX. Man! That car was blazing yellow in its early days.
I'm thinking it may be useful to scan some of these early photos. I hear that HP makes a nice inexpensive little photo scanner that's perfect for 4x6 prints (and smaller). That might be perfect because I don't want to waste the desk space for a big flatbed scanner.
Hope you don't mind I fixed some wicked spelling errors in your post. I understand that it was early when you posted, especially after a night of celebrating. But you don't want to have four major spelling errors when you are proclaiming that you are going to graduate school, eh? ;-)
Congrats again and best of luck!

Wanted to let everyone know that TJ is a very happy guy- he bought his new Gameboy last night! I'm very proud of him for saving the money- now he's saving for some new games!
Alyssa
Thanks, Scott! I was going off of 5 hours of sleep and writing in the dark!
Posted by: Suzy at April 17, 2003 11:18 AMHey TJ, way to go! Hope you're enjoying your new Gameboy Advance (GBA) SP. I'm looking forward to good game recommendations. If you have any websites that do GBA game reviews, let me know. So far we're still addicted to 'SuperMario 2'. Next week the kids and I will be getting 'Sonic' for Easter.
