I sitting here in the "hurry up and wait" situation of configuring our replacement TiVo that arrived in the mail today. It's a lot of "where are you located?" "please wait" "who is your cable provider?" "please wait..." "I'm going to place a brief phone call back to TiVo HQ, please wait...". So I thought I'd pop open my laptop in the meantime and do a little catchup.
Today Michelle taught her first step class since she was seven months pregnant with Timothy. Even though she purchased some new, fresh music to play, the Y's CD player was misconfigured and wouldn't play them. In the end she resorted to using some old cassette tapes from last year. Other than that things went well and she's planning on teaching again on Saturday.
It's been raining on and off today but from what I understand it's no where near what the midwest has seen these past few days -- at least not yet. Our lawn is greening up nicely and I'm sure the rain will help. If nothing else it's that much less we have to water ourselves.
We have some nice plans for next weekend. Saturday I'm taking the girls to see the Peacock Players rendition of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Sunday is the annual Infant Jesus Parish Day. Hopefully this rain will clear out before then.
I looked over the archives from May of 2002 and found that it was this past week last year when we got a contract on our current house after months of house hunting. I remember thinking last year that we would give up soon and wait a year. Talking to my co-worker, the market is softer now, at least in his pricing range ($450-550K). Yikes! Yes I would imagine the demand might be lighter in that range with the economy in the gutter.
Got to go for now. Hopefully I'll get the TiVo all setup before it gets too late...
