Busy day

Morning - Of course, since today I have to go back to work, the sun finally comes out again. I dropped off a couple of dozen pictures to be printed and also requested 50 copies of this picture for my parents' Christmas cards. They also wanted an 8x10. I was a bit wary of it because the image is less than 2 megapixels. Michelle taught another step aerobics class this morning but at least this time she got to go by herself. I went later at lunch time.

Evening - In the evening I picked up the pictures and they all turned out well (as usual for Martin's Photographix). They always seem to do great work. Even the 8x10 was OK. Oh, how I wish I could have taken that picture. Because the original shot was taken from too far back, I had to crop away 60% of the pixels so that were available. I went to Amherst's Gymnastics Village to wait for Abby's class. When I got there I crossed paths with my dad who had dropped her off earlier and showed him the pictures. He had also just dropped off Michelle and Claire because tonight was Milford Elementary's open house. Claire showed Michelle all around her world. It was a bit different because this year Claire is on the second floor of the building. While there, Michelle bought a few titles from the Scholastic book fair that was also going on.

Clavinova recommendation - Michelle mentioned that she got to meet Claire's new music teacher. That class had a Yamaha Clavinova. The music teacher said she does have a 9 foot concert grand at home but if she were to do it over, she's go with a digital piano. The teacher said her "real" piano really is limiting as far as moving goes because it is so large and heavy. She also said that not having to tune the digital piano is a bonus. Overall the teacher felt Yamaha had come a long way since they made their first Clavinova in creating an authentic piano sound and with a piano keyboard feel. Yes! I got someone to back me up on this, and I didn't even have to pay her. *grin*

Abigail loses her first tooth - By far the biggest surprise of the evening occurred when I was getting the girls ready for bed. I had just finished up putting the boys down to bed and the girls were brushing their teeth. When Abby came to join me in her room, she said something didn't feel right in her mouth. When I looked at her teeth she had lost a bottom tooth. It had been a little loose, but I figured it'd be another month. It's a bit sad that she lost it unknowingly. We suspect it may have come out while brushing her teeth. Who knows? But now Abby joins Claire in having a "hole'y smile".

Timothy's ear consultation - Tomorrow evening Michelle and I go to the doctors to have the followup consultation regarding Timothy's fused outer ear lobe. We'll review the CT scans and MRIs and discuss where we go from here. It would be ideal if we could schedule the surgery adjacent to my California trip so that we can take advantage of my mom already being out here but something tells me that with the luck we've been having thus far, having surgery in a handful of weeks might be too soon to schedule.

Comments

So Abby really "lost" her first tooth! I lost one once, but we think I swallowed it with my hot dog dinner.
Glad to get the Timothy update- I called last nite around 7:30 our time, but got no answer. You were out at dinner anyway.
