Pictures - This afternoon while the boys napped and the girls went out shopping, I listened to some music in iTunes and played around in Photoshop. It's amazingly relaxing -- maybe because now I know may way around for most of the filters and effects I care about. I built this album of 18 pictures. Many are of Timothy since his birthday just occurred last week but all the kids make at least a token appearance. Enjoy!
Family night - Tonight the Souhegan Valley Family Connection (SVFC) is having a dinner for their members. About once a week Michelle takes the kids to the "Tot Drop In" that they host in Milford Town Hall. Perhaps I'll finally get to meet some of the other mommies that Michelle talks about. Many are the same ones she sees at the Milford pool during the summer. The girls are looking forward to going. They were a bit let down yesterday when the dinner was postponed due to weather. My recollection is that police handled about 200 car accidents statewide yesterday due to the ice, sleet and freezing rain. Today's above freezing temperatures are making excellent progress in melting yesterday's dangerous roads.
Geek talk - From a weblogging perspective, I feel I've now "seen it all". Nanoblogger is a weblog engine written in the unix scripting language 'bash'. Not perl, python, C, Java, PHP, ASP, or any other trendy web oriented language. No, just plain old bash! I can't tell whether it's using bash to create static pages or if bash is being invoked to dynamically render a page. Perhaps it's a proof of concept, taking the idea of blosxom to the next level of simplicity. "Oh yeah! Well I can maintain that blog with just a bash script."
thanks for the pix!!
