I don't feel liking writing extensively so I'll just hit the highlights before I forget them:
Funniest moment so far: I was standing along the street edge of our property running interference as Timothy tried multiple times to sneak out into the street. Michelle, who has lately been frustrated by Timothy's recent surge in wandering off the property, jokingly shouts "I've never wanted you more". I joke back "this, and when I change his diaper and fold the laundry, eh?" I guess you had to be there. Having five kids must change a woman's perspective on what defines sexy. Not unlike last September's comment: "Forget the fancy ring, I'm happier having someone come in to help clean the house on a regular basis.
Scott,
Check out the song 'Just Another Day in Paradise' by Phil Vassar. I know it discribes Alyssa and my life almost to a tee, probably yours too.
Tom
Thanks for the reference. I looked the song up. For those who want some context, here are the main lyrics.
The kids screaming, phone ringing
Dog barking at the mailman bringing
That stack of bills - overdue
Good morning baby, how are you?
Got a half hour, quick shower
Take a drink of milk but the milk's gone sour
My funny face makes you laugh
Twist the top on and I put it back
There goes the washing machine
Baby, don't kick it.
I promise I'll fix it
Long about a million other things
Well, it's ok. It's so nice
It's just another day in paradise
Well, there's no place that
I'd rather be
Well, it's two hearts
And one dream
I wouldn't trade it for anything
And I ask the lord every night
For just another day in paradise
Friday, you're late
Guess we'll never make our dinner date
At the restaurant you start to cry
Baby, we'll just improvise
Well, plan B looks like
Dominoes' pizza in the candle light
Then we'll tippy toe to our room
Make a little love that's overdue
But somebody had a bad dream
Mama and daddy
Can me and my teddy
Come in to sleep in between?
The rest is refrains...
Yes, Tom, I can relate. It often describes the situation.
