Photos - Here are 18 pictures from the last few weeks with the first three from Alyssa. Consider it a small Father's Day gift to Grandpa Bob, Grandpa Peter, Grandpa Bilik, and Grandpa Tesoriero. I worked on them this evening whilst waiting (in vain) for Michael to break down and have a BM. That boy has not done so all weekend. He's going to hurt himself! Other than this little issue with Michael, it was a great Father's Day. The weather was clear, breezy, and temperate -- perfect for when I had to cut the lawn late this morning. I lectored at 8 o'clock Mass and there was a breakfast afterwards. Michelle took the girls out during the boys' nap so I got to catch a quick catnap and had some time to learn more from my Clavinova DVDs. The more I watch, the more I realize what amazing capabilities the Yamaha Clavinova has. It's like a person who just uses a computer for email and then later learns about things like the web, multimedia, office applications, programming, etc. There is just so much "under the hood" that can be done with the Clavinova.
Prayer - Since it is Father's Day, I wanted to pass along a prayer for fathers by Blessed John XXIII:
"St. Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary, you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty. You supported the holy family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly come to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes. They look to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too knew trial, labor and weariness. But amid the worries of material life your soul was full of deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with God's Son entrusted to you and with Mary, his tender Mother. Assure those you protect that they do not labor alone. Teach them to find Jesus near them and to watch over him faithfully as you have done."
