This summer my sister and I went to Chicago by ourselves. When we were there we got to go to my Aunt Bev's pool. After we get out of their pool and dry off, we get to go inside and get a treat.
Then six days later the rest of my family met up with us. Grampa and I picked them up.
When the whole entire family was there, we got to celebrate my Aunt Suzanne's birthday.
Then six days later my sister Abigail, mom, and I flew out together to California. When we were there we got to go see my mom's side of the family. My mom's two sisters each have two children. My mom has step brothers. One of the step brothers, Uncle Kevin, and his wife, Aunt Lynn, have eleven children. The other step brother, Uncle Michael and his wife, Aunt Rachel, have no children, and my mom's step sister, Aunt Kathleen, has two children.
We went to Legoland with my mom's two sisters, Aunt Gina and Aunt Maria and their children. It was a lot of fun.
We also got to go see my great grandma Rose and my great grandpa Tony.
After all that fun we went back to Illinois for about 4 to 5 days. On the last day we went to go see my papa's Grandpa Bilik. After that we went to Barneby's for lunch. When we came back grandma and grandpa ordered dinner. The Tarpeys came over. We played for a while. Then they went home and we went to bed.
The next day we got up early. Grandpa drove us to the airport. We got on the airplane and got home.
So that's what we did this summer.
Claire,
I hope you enjoyed your trip to Chicago as much as we enjoyed having all of you out here. Our house is very quiet now - almost too quiet with just me and Grandma here. We sure miss all of you and hope to see you in November. In the meantime, keep reading and writing.
Love, Grandpa Bob
