Photos - When we ordered our dining room set, the bad news was that it would arrive the day after my folks left. I'd promised my mom that I'd take a few pictures so that she could see what it looks like in the dining room. Click on the boys below to go to the album.
One of the pictures shows a tree that has fallen in our yard. Currently it is still held suspended by two nearby trees. In true boyhood, drive-your-mother-crazy fashion, the boys keep walking over there to stand in awe underneath it. A tree service comes tomorrow to help us with it.
Today - We did have gorgeous weather today. Sunny with temperatures hitting 56°F. This afternoon I worked on all the boys' bikes and prepped the trampoline for another season of jumping. Today Abby got an early birthday present of a new bigger bicycle. Claire also picked up a set of inline roller blades. Somewhere between the bikes, trampoline, and roller blades, I think we've just set ourselves up for a visit to a nearby hospital.
Birthday - Happy Birthday to Tom who turns …mumble-mumble… tomorrow!
The room looks gorgeous! I think you guys have great decorating sense, and it is so clean right now too! I'm a little jealous- it's been a long time since we had a empty room to decorate!
I can't blame the boys for being fascinated by that tree! Cool!
We had a beautiful day here too, except it is so muddy from recent rain.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
That tree looks awesome. Tell the boys to get a rope and pull the top down, they would have a great catapult.

Posted by: Tom at March 12, 2006 10:09 AMHey Scott, I'm glad to hear that you were able to see your folks for a visit, even if it was a short one. How is your Mom doing? I'm hoping that since she's traveling, that means treatments are progressing well.
The dining room looks nice, though your server could use a bigger hard drive and some blinking lights... 8)
Posted by: will at March 14, 2006 01:21 AMHi Will,
My mom's doing pretty well. She'll start the final phase of her treatment very soon. Both she and my dad had a nice visit. I think seeing the other half of her grandkids did a lot to bolster her mood. She really missed them and they missed seeing family too!
I got a big kick out of your comments about the server. Funny, even being the computer geek that I am, I didn't make the connection between a dining room server and a compute server until you mentioned it. Thanks for giving Michelle and I a chuckle during breakfast this morning.
BTW, have you listened to Daily Breakfast #90 yet? An email I wrote to Fr. Roderick was read "on the air" (so to speak). I'll write a little more about it tonight when I have the time.
For now, "coffee break's over... back on your heads!" ;-)
