Timothy - I don't know what came over me tonight. I should be asleep but I wanted to share this picture of Timothy from late last week. It was the morning after the cable modem/router died in the thunderstorm. I had opened up the cable modem on the remote possibility that it might have an internal fuse that blew. I left the dissected hardware along with a digital multimeter on the kitchen table for the boys to check out on Friday morning. Somehow I just knew Timothy would be the most intrigued. As usual, if you click on the thumbnail at the right, you'll see a larger version.
Weekend - It rained on and off all weekend. That's not good because at this time of year, you must keep up with the lawn mowings. I rushed home from the office today to accomplish what I couldn't all weekend. Yesterday when I got to the point of rain-induced cabin fever, I took the twins to the YMCA for some time in the swimming pool. Michelle used that opportunity to go grocery shopping with just Timothy. The boys actually behave well when you break up that Unholy Trinity of Michael, Daniel, and Timothy. It reminds me of that old grade school lesson about a fire needing fuel, air, and heat — remove one and the fire goes out. If you take one brother out of the equation, the dynamics change dramatically.
Lawn - Another thing I noticed while mowing (and Michelle confirmed) is that our lawn has come down with 'red thread'. It's a type of lawn fungus that's usually caused by too much moisture and cool temperatures. With all the rain and flooding New England has had, it's no surprise. We had a case of this once in Nashua. So for a spell we need to stop watering the lawn and bag all the clippings to prevent it from spreading. *sigh* It's always something. I can almost guarantee that in a month the grass will be dying from the dry heat of July.
Tomorrow - I've been tagged by Kristen with an internet meme, but it's getting pretty late for a guy who should be out the door by 7am tomorrow. Perhaps tomorrow…
No rush on that meme...it's just a bit of silliness and goodness knows we've all got more important things to be working on...and we've still not gotten to mowing the lawn. Well, Ernesto hasn't, that is. And when I say "we" I mean that I mow with him in spirit.
