Friday - Today went a little smoother than yesterday. The commutes were smoother, the network at the office was reasonable. And I went to Longhorn for lunch (although, alas, I only had a salad). No progress on my cell phone, but I didn't have my hopes up there...
Flooring - When I got home, most of the first floor family room was empty. The contractors had pulled the carpets and were removing the tack strips and the baseboards. They left the entertainment center for me to unwire and disassemble. Tomorrow the new Pergo laminate floor will get laid down. As long as the room is empty, it will also get a fresh coat of paint.
Saturday - It'll be a bit of a tough weekend though. Rain is predicted for both days, so it'll be harder to keep the kids out of the way of the contractors. With all of that family room furniture re-shuffled into other rooms, I suspect most of our relaxing will be in the basement. The rain will also prevent me from doing any lawn work.
Movie - As predicted, Abigail decided she didn't want to endure the drive into Massachusetts, so it'll just be Claire and I heading out to see Shrek the Third. Ah well, could be a good opportunity for some father/daughter time. Just me 'n Claire driving the veggie-burner down to Worchester, MA.
How'd you and Claire enjoy Shrek 3? It had some laughs, but I thought it was the weakest of the three movies, but at least the plot picked up in the third act. I'm sure Claire loved it though.
Also, you mentioned the "veggie-burner." Did you add a bio-diesel kit to your VW that I missed?!

Nah, it's just that my last two fillups were from a station in Acton that sells biodiesel. It was a bit of an experiment. Hence the joking reference to "veggie burner". Not sure whether I'm gonna continue doing that detour though. I have to detour about 6 miles east of 495 and pay significantly extra than what full serve dino-diesel sells for in Milford. It was neat thinking that I drove around 1200 miles without petroleum consumption.
Yep, Claire and I enjoyed Shrek. I'm thinking of doing a whole family trip to Chunky's to see it. Claire and I had a Mexican lunch in Leominster afterwards. (It was handy having a GPS to help us identify restaurants along the trip...)
