A quick rundown of the day's events:
Cass got the Hanna Montana 3 disc set for Christmas- it was a favorite for car rides for a while!
Interesting article about Claire's future school. I get what the teacher was trying to do, but I cna see why people may have been upset. Was anyone from school actually bothered, any parents, or just bloggers who read about it? At least they were jr. high students, not primary.
Mom's party went well, we didn't give her the present yet. I'm doing laundry so I can pack now- we had an unexpected trip to the ER around 8:00 tonite- Cass hit herself with a bat (she doesn't know her own strength!) and needed 5 stitches on her forehead. Suzy, sorry to freak you out with bad news over the webpage! She's ok now, but we had to do the best we could to help her pretty face!
Talk to you soon!
Hi Lyss,
This article was in the local "Milford Cabinet". Unfortunately I just let our subscription lapse just a few months ago. I was getting the paper and wouldn't get around to reading it. So I had no idea. I hadn't heard about it from any neighborhood parents either.
Lately what's been bothering us is the "recommended reading" Claire received for the summer. It's all environmental, which I don't have a problem with, but it's all from the point of view that man and industry intrinsicly destroy the environment and that it's going downhill. By many measureable metrics, our environment is significantly better than it was, say, 50 years ago.
Glad mom's party went well. I wish I could have flown out just for the weekend. I hope she enjoys her present. "The check is in the mail", errr, it'll go out today.
I hope Cassidy heals well from her incident. Ouch!
Talk to you soon. Got to get ready for work...
Posted by: Scott at June 11, 2007 06:07 AMHi all,
In case anyone was wondering about those last two pictures... In the middle of my Toronto trip, my co-workers and I decided to try some Persian food. We went to a restaurant called "Zaffron" and I had their Sultani Kebob Combo. See:

for more details.
