I'm carpooling w/my boss this morning. ~3pm he & I are traveling into Boston to visit a seriously injured co-worker at the hospital.
It's been wicked windy all night long and is still going strong this morning. Gusts up to ~50mph. Add that to 7°F/-13°C and it's just Brrr!!
Before leaving the house, forget to bring a sweater and forgot to sync my iPod with the latest podcasts. Oh well, at least I wasn't driving.
The site file servers have been down all morning for upgrades. All of our eng. data lives there. There's only so much admin you can do...
Ah, the network file servers are finally back up. Time to dive into some serious debug and try to accomplish something before lunch.

For ol' times sake the girls & I played MarioKart Double Dash (originally a GameCube title) on the Wii. Good times & brought back memories.
This was the 1st time we've played MarioKart in semi-hi-definition 480p on the large screen with audio beefed up for surround sound.
Looking into using Amazon's S3 service for personal offsite backup. Reasonable, scalable, and high bandwidth. (related link)
A day later & winter winds are still blowing briskly. It must be chilly outside. We shut the stoves & the furnace kicked in soon afterwards.
