Time to get the kids (plus one sleepover tagalong) ready for 7am Mass. Because of school vacations, the twins have no CCD this morning.
I've determined that my new (Greek) name is Papa Grababagapellets. All winter long I hear it most every time I come in from the garage.
It looks like AMD/ATI is now open-sourcing the 'tcore' level drivers, which we often use during diagnostics of the chips. (related link)
Just warning those heading out to Mass soon: today's Gospel reading is a fairly long one -- Jesus and the woman at the well.
Timothy and I went to Peter's to watch him change his brakes (pads and rotors). We learned a lot.
The family and I are watching The Martian Child on DVD. Soon we're going candle pin bowling.
Timothy helped me clean out the drain in a bathroom sink. Yuck!
Back from bowling and having take out Chinese food with friends. Now getting the boys ready for bed.
Just checking email before going to bed. Roughly 80 pieces of spam since the same time last night when I last emptied that folder. sigh
We had the same gospel reading from Mark, the long passage about the woman at the well at my family's baptist church this weekend when I was home visiting them. I know there are themes following some patterns throughout the liturgical calendar, but it's interesting having different churches line up that closely.
I really appreciated that reading and the sermon. I remember hearing the story from back when I was a kid, but never paid attention to the themes of it. I remembered the woman not understanding what the metaphor of "living water" was, but I completely missed the themes of Jesus talking to a woman, let alone a Samaraton, a lower group of people.
