Short Updates

Just knowing that I'm going to work from home and skip the hour+ commute in makes me so lazy on mornings like this. Getting started now... 7:04am

Oh look. Another chilly, overcast day with thundershowers expected. Just great. . . 8:08am

Going to take off my C++ hat for a while to enjoy a homemade pizza that Michelle pulled out of the oven. May watch "Cranky Geeks" on TiVo. 11:47am

Got a generous anniversary card in the mail from our grandparents. We're thinking of using it for a nice dinner for two tomorrow night. 1:46pm

Apple can remotely shut down apps on your phone?! Suddenly J2ME apps are looking better each day. 1:54pm

Michelle's with the kids on her way home from the mall. Claire is now double pierced on her ears. Hopefully that's the last of it... ;-> 4:00pm

Upgraded Firefox on my humble iBook G4 to Firefox 3. Now that it's "lighter", I may switch over to it. 4:01pm

Back from a good workout at the gym. Eager to see Claire's newly re-pierced ears (and have something to quench my thirst...) 7:05pm

Checking a UPS status. The boys' Phineas and Ferb(tm) tee shirts should arrive tomorrow. I think the boys will like 'em. 7:12pm

Watched a little bit of Jane Austin's "Emma" with Claire. Getting ready for bed. Abby's having a friend sleep over. 9:01pm

OOOH- double-pierced ears! Laura Griffin double-pierced my ears at the beach downtown with ice from our dirty cooler...you guys are way cool parents taking her to get them done!
Still, none of my kids have piercings, and I hope it's only Cass that ever chooses to do so!

Yeah, I think you or mom told me that story. I took her for the first piercing three years ago. (The same day I got swarmed with bee stings) This second piercing is for her 13th birthday. She now has the new stud (a light blue gem) in the back and dangling earrings in the front. Michelle has emphasized that this should be it now until she's 18. No pierced nose, eyebrows, tongue, etc...

Claire asked about a Chumby for her birthday, but at $180, Michelle thought she should see if she's still interested in it by Christmas-time.

Oh no, when Claire was here I told her how I got my ears double pierced, then triple, then quadruple, etc. I'm sure I had nothing to do with this ;-)

Worry not! I think it was more about some friends in the neighborhood getting second piercings.
