Good morning. All across NH hundreds of thousands of children are done with their spring break and thinkin', "I don't want to go back to school again!" Meanwhile mothers across the state have other thoughts which shall go unpublished.
Dropped the kids off at their schools. Michelle & Timothy took my car over to the Merrimack YMCA. I'm VPN'ing/NX'ing into the office. It is so quiet compared to last Monday!
Another month and I have 2 more credits on Audible.com. I was thinking a tome by Dostoevsky, like "The Brothers Karamazov" or "Crime and Punishment". Anyone have an opinion? On a completely different track I was thinking perhaps a part of C.S. Lewis' space trilogy like "That Hideous Strength". Feedback welcome...
Cool! Michelle just called to tell me that the Peacock Players in Nashua are doing "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". (related link) I think the kids would love this! My daughters and I practically have the soundtrack memorized. "Go Go GO Joe!"
Dropped Timothy off at kindergarten and took Michelle out for lunch. Stopped for hot coffees on the way back home. Now Michelle is doing more dandelion hunting [we don't use broad leaf weed control] and I'm back to debugging...
How did I miss this study? "Contraceptive Pill Makes Exercise Ineffectual" (related link) Quote: "We were surprised at the magnitude of differences in muscle gains between the two groups, with the non-OC women gaining more than 60 percent greater muscle mass than their OC counterpart".
Back from a good workout at the gym. Time to grab a bite of dinner and get the boys to bed.
Loving this parody: "Making torture safe, legal and rare" (related link)
I forgot. It's Monday night, so the girls are watching "Dancing... with the Stars". Time to go upstairs and find something else to work on...
Oh man! Spring is here. There's a tick on Abby. She must have got it from Jingle.
While the girls watched the dancing, I worked on yet another personal programming project of a Catholic geeky nature. [so what else is new...] And I got to chat with an ol' friend from grade school. All while this block of Apple aluminum kept my lap toasty. It's a win-win-win. ;-P.
