Good morning! Using one of my Audible.com credits to buy "Voyager" by Diana Gabaldon for Michelle. She's about an hour from finishing "Outlander". This is becoming a habit with her. a) read the book b) listen to the audiobook.
Dropped the kids off at their schools. Claire is going on a field trip up to UNH for some program the school sponsors for kids with the highest gym class grades. Back in 7th grade, I don't think I would've been selected for that. I'm just sayin'... ;->.
I "miss the old days" (like what, 3 yrs ago?) when (related link) wasn't dominated by web design, twitter, and facebook links. I'm starting to think that web designers and marketing folks are the only ones left using the service. I'd love some way to filter that stuff out and see interesting links for the other 99% of web surfers.
Was listening to CNET's Molly Wood in the background. First she complained about the iPhone's poor signal quality [in the Bay Area]. Later she complained she couldn't tether its data plan to her laptop. Suddenly I feel much better about my phone. I don't lose calls and can tether its 3G. [but in fairness, I don't have the 'iBeer' app].
Geek talk: I installed Perl Moose on my MacBook. (related link) Probably won't be able to tinker with it until Thursday though... I've heard lots of good things about it.
Stared at enough Verilog, specs, and digital waveforms for today. Getting off this desk chair and heading over to Golds.
After sitting at my desk all day (even through lunch), that workout was just what I needed. Now eating a light dinner before puttin' the boys down to bed and preparing for RCIA.
