Good morning! Hey look! It's raining again! Time to head down to Concord again because I need to get my I-9 form taken care of. I also have more laptop and network setup to do. I just barely got my account login before I left the office yesterday. Somewhere around 5:10pm I got my name and password credentials.
I carpooled down to Concord with my boss in his Quattro. As I predicted, the driving rain stopped around the time we arrived. Of course! :-P My girls are with their cousins getting a tour in downtown Boston today. Hoping this rain stays away for the rest of the day for their sake...
Slowly making IT'ish progress. I finally have Outlook and Communicator working. >350 unread messages? I must've been in "the system" for months while waiting for me to come on board...
Working from home now. My boss had some home water leakage issues with all of this recent rain so we head home after lunch. Time to work through this full email inbox I inherited...
My wife brought me a hot coconut coffee from our local coffee/donut shop. She's a keeper! ;-P.
Did what I do to every new computer I use regularly: map Caps Lock to a Control key. Why does Windows XP make it such a pain to do? It is so trivial in Mac OS X!
Back from the gym. Tired and ready for some dinner.
Didn't feel like watching television so I listened to the final half hour of "Fool Moon", book 2 of the Dresden Files. (related link) Time to start surfing Audible.com again.
Forgot to mention: Michelle got a quote today on getting a vinyl two rail/split rail fence with diamond shaped cross members installed along our front street border. 30 segments! Gulp! Perhaps in a couple of months when AMD pays out what they owe me, we can use some of that money towards it. It would look nice. Perhaps we'd throw in a post lamp too...
Wow! The girls just got back from their tours of Boston. 9pm! They must be exhausted but they sound like they had a full day, rain or no rain!
