Good morning! Back from Mass. After endless days of New England rain, we actually have a beautiful morning out there today. Sunny and 55F. Going to be doing more job environment setup stuff today. Accounts to setup, tools to install, etc...
I like the euphemism "fetal rights activist". Must remember that one...
Re: the much discussed "Google OS". I already have a good OS in Emacs but am wondering whether Emacs has added a text editor yet?
While I'm likin' the new work laptop overall, I'm still getting used to the new look 'n feel of all of the Microsoft 2007 version apps.
I am beyond absent minded. I emptied my gym bag prior to going to San Diego. So when I head toward the gym this evening, I had no member badge, no shampoo, no deodorant, and no combination lock. These are things I just leave in my bag all the time so that it's ready to go. I just turned around and head home. If only I hadn't rushed out the door I would've thought of this before I'd driven a couple of miles.
Laughing at (related link) while in a conference call with San Diego. Liking: "Hasta la Windows XP, baby."
Slowly getting bootstrapped on my work environment. Finally got some of my login stuff working for our Finland office. I still haven't seen a line of code yet because I don't have the stuff to check files out of our revision control systems yet. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Creeping towards productivity...
