Good morning! Today I return to my role as school taxi papa, kicked up a notch. I guess the 1st school bus is overcrowded. So I'll take Claire, Abigail, and 4 neighborhood friends to school. That's too much for my Jetter. I'll need to use the Honder Oddity.
I've a vacation day today. Not for fun reasons. But for now I'm surfing forum discussions about Penn & Teller's latest episode on the Vatican. My favorite forum post response: "I only listen to Teller."
I'm at Southern NH Regional Medical Center now. I'd appreciate all intercessory prayers for Michelle, her surgeon, and her assistants.
Michelle & I were joking (pre-op) about 'cash for clunkers'. She envisions a new bumper sticker: "Honk if I paid for your car!" I love her humor.
Michelle was just wheeled into OR. I'm at the cafeteria having lunch. She should finish shortly after I eat.
While waiting, I was encouraged in a completely different way: the 20-something next to me was playing a game on his cell phone muttering, "I wish this thing had better graphics!" Thanks for supporting my livelihood kid.
Just finished the post op consult. The 3 masses look benign but we'll know for certain in about a week. I should be able to bring Michelle home within the hour.
Back home with Michelle. I've got her tucked into bed with a dose of Motrin. Claire took excellent care of things after school -- helping the boys with homework & making a dinner for the five of them.
Ran over to Haywards Ice Cream to pick up a vanilla frappe for Michelle. She seems in better spirits now... less groggy.
