Good morning! Everyone ready for autumn?
Dropped the older ones off at middle school and went to a Communion service at St. Patricks. Michelle is going to take the younger ones to elementary school and teach her 20/20/20 class at Golds. I'm VPN'd into work for the morning.
Michelle is excited. The latest Diana Gabaldon book in her "Outlander" series arrived in today's mail. (related link) We ordered it back in April, but it's finally out.
Me, I'm excited that I finally got to the bottom of a stupid bug that's been keeping me busy for a few days now.
Back from SNHMC for the 2nd opinion consultation. This doctor will do the main surgery, which will be Wednesday next week. In a small way I'm relieved that we're getting to this point. The "hurry up and wait" syndrome (reminiscent of my Air Force days) was generating a boatload of stomach butterflies.
Wow! The flooding near Atlanta, GA!! Here's a picture of the Six Flags in Atlanta. (related link)
Dropped off the Honder Oddity at the mechanic for new rotors and pads on the front end. For real this time. No kid school drop offs tomorrow. Sorry gang, but you'll have to catch the early bus tomorrow.
Watched last night's "Big Bang Theory" with Claire. For some weird reason the TiVo recording was corrupted midway through so I pulled down a hi-def copy of the show from Usenet and we watched it on my MacBook.
Bookmarks I made today:
Dissecting President Obama’s Global Warming Speech
Comment: Some commentary from the Heritage Foundation since I don't think we'll see a challenge from ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR, MSNBC, CNN, NYT...
4-Block World: 1000x Per Decade
Comment: Well, I'm excited about the progress in the top row...
