Good morning! Busy morning ahead. Not only a middle school drop off, but Abby and Nick get dropped off for their week long class field trip (aka Nature's Classroom). Hope they stay warm! ;-) Later dad and I drop the boys off at their elementary schools. Meanwhile Michelle is going to teach her Monday morning Step class in Merrimack.
Just saw Abby. I feel just awful for her. I don't think she'll be able to go to Nature's Classroom this week. Sore throat, headache, sniffles, temperature, cough... She's been counting this down for weeks with anticipation.
Kids all in school, except Abby of course. Michelle is about to teach her Step class in Merrimack. I'm VPN'd into work. Michelle's older sister arrives at Manchester airport in a few hours.
Wow! That Susan B Komen name gets around. I was considering a Dell 10V Hackintosh netbook for Claire and saw that it had an optional pink carrying bag where $5 went to the Susan B Komen foundation. Then I checked my email and Nintendo alerted me to the Wii game "EA Sports Active: Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Edition". And don't get me started on opening a container of yogurt...
Played Frank Capra classic "You Can't Take It With You" (1938) while working through my morning debugging. Getting closer to having things working... It is gorgeous outside this afternoon. Wish I was there.
Claire and I worked till late. Then watched a little "Dancing w/the Stars". Hope Abby feels better tomorrow morning. Good night all!
Bookmarks I made today:
xkcd - A Webcomic - Nachos - Hosted by GeoCities
Comment: Laughing not so much at the comic today, but at XKCD's temporary web "re-design" to look like a retro web page from a dozen years ago. All in honor of Yahoo finally pulling the plug on GeoCities. Bad HTML, marquees, "under construction" icons, animated GIFs, copious use of the Comic Sans font, ugly tables, cheesy "hit" counters, etc. Update: Darn! It's been taken down already. It was a one day one special.
Pelosi: Health care 'public option' needs new name
Comment: "The 'competitive' option", eh? Mmm. 'K. As someone in an already competitive business, I'd hate to be competing against an entity who can print money and doesn't worry about their books being "in the black".
Excerpt: In an appearance at a Florida senior center, the Democratic leader referred to the so-called public option as "the consumer option." Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., appeared by Pelosi's side and used the term "competitive option."
