Good morning! I'm happy but a bit nervous. Today is the last of the phase A (Adriamycin and Cytoxan) chemo treatments. Praying that today the staff gets things right and Michelle is able to avoid nausea & vomiting. I think after last treatment's mistake, the staff will be doubly careful this time.
Looking over the long term forecasts, it looks like we won't have any snow storms between now and Christmas, but it also looks like we won't go above freezing and have some wicked cold nights. Glad my car has heated seats because diesel engines take forever to warm up in cold weather.
Dropped all the kidlets off at their schools. Michelle is on her way to oncology. Believe it or not, she's looks like she's going to teach a class. She says the infusion stations are all along big glass windows, so it feels a bit like a greenhouse. So she wanted to wear lighter, comfortable attire. Me, I'm VPN'd into work for the rest of the day.

Stepped out for lunch at the Milford Red Arrow Diner . Always amused by some of their unusual daily specials. Today I had the chili 'n cheese hot dog wrap. You know, in case you find a traditional hot dog bun to be a waste of calories. I don't do fad diets, but I imagine this was near perfect for the "Lo Carb" crowd.
I feel a bit of sadness for my family back near Chicago. They lost the Olympics (which would've been COOL!) but as a consolation the President brings Gitmo "detainees" to a state prison about 150 miles away.
Back home from picking up Michelle at oncology. She's in pretty good spirits because a) it's the last of the "A/C" treatments and b) it's 3 weeks until she starts phase B (ie. Taxol) because they wanted to give her a break while the kids were home for Christmas break.
As we drove past the corner of Nashua's Main and Hollis Streets, we saw the large SNHMC billboard that featured Michelle's oncologist, Dr. Rao, as well as the nurse, Kimberly, who handles Michelle's infusions. 'Twas a bit surreal. They really were "larger than life".
Took the boys for their H1N1 booster shots. Now watching Claire, Shauna, Shannon, and Brittany in their Christmas choir performance.
