Good morning all! Welcome to the third day of Christmas. For once we'll only need the car, not the minivan, to go to Mass this Sunday morning. I'm amazed that it's 42°F this morning. It's keeping the streets safer amidst this storm over us (compared to snow, freezing rain, etc.)
I almost forgot! Happy Feast of the Holy Family!
Back from Mass and breakfast. Since we've gone through our first ton of wood, it's time for me to take advantage of this lazy Sunday and clean our primary wood stove.
Done cleaning the stove. Considering going to see "The Squeakquel". Not certain I'm emotionally ready to see the Chipettes singing Beyonce's "Put a Ring on It". ;->.
Bailed on going to see a movie, but took Michelle & the boys to (related link) for lunch. When we got home I bought the boys the ol' SuperMarioKart from the SuperNES days so they could do some retro 1992 style Kartin'.
"A government that can't handle a watch list with half a million names will be great at healthcare for 300 million." -- Jeff Miller. Agreed Jeff!
My laptop can't be almost out of power! I'm not done online! ;-P (should I "borrow" Michelle's???)
What an amazing coincidence! Our girls fly 900 miles west to Noblesville, IN. Today they went to see their cousin's basketball game. Who do they see, but two teachers from their school back home: Mr. & Mrs. Erdody. Evidently they have Indiana roots as well and are "home for the holidays".
About to watch "High Society", (related link) a 1956 classic with Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong. Hard to picture how a lineup like that could be anything but good. We'll see...
After giving the heat exchanger on our wood stove a thorough cleaning this morning, our house accidentally got up to 81°F today without much effort. Good! We'll be needing it in a couple of days when the cold front from the midwest works its way over here and gives us highs around 20°F outside. Good night all!

Comment: A long, but fun read if you are the type who follows current events...
Excerpt: It was a year of Hope -- at first in the sense of ``I feel hopeful!'' and later in the sense of ``I hope this year ends soon!''

Comment: Messing around in Audio Hijack Pro with Michael and Daniel Bilik! (At this point just using the laptop's built in microphone so please forgive the audio quality...)

Comment: Glad to see the new, cleaner TDI design helping VW. I wish Honda had not cancelled their diesel plans. We were hoping for a new diesel Odyssey in 2010/11 timeframe.
Excerpt: [...] Volkswagen's share rose to 2.1%, from 1.7% on demand for the redesigned, fuel-efficient diesel Volkswagen Jetta TDI.
