Good morning! Woke up a bit early. Watching last night's "Red Eye" and reading about 'lftp'. (related link)
Dropped the girls off at school. Bought a couple of breakfast sandwiches for me and Michelle. She dropped the boys off at school and will take a Step class. I'm going to spend my day in Microsoft Visual Studio. The name sounds a lot cooler than it really is.
Starting to see why Steve Jobs might be a little mad at Adobe and Flash. My work laptop and MacBook are similar spec'd machines. (both 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duos). When I watch a particular YouTube video on the Windows laptop, it uses less than 10% CPU. When I watch the same video at the same resolution on the MacBook, it uses about 70% of the CPU. Adobe clearly did a "half fast" implementation of their video decoder.
Laughing at a parody of the Annie "NYC" song entitled "AIG", featuring impersonators for the President and Congressman Barnie Frank.
Took Claire to a long and painful orthodontist appointment. Afterwards rushed her home to change for gymnastics. She was so happy to be able to do them again after several weeks of not being able to. It was enough to make her forget about mouth pain.
Transcoding my Audible "Wuthering Heights" (curse your DRM!) into MP3 format so that I can burn an MP3 CD for my car. Meanwhile catching up on the torrent of work email that arrived while I was working away from WiFi access points.
Singing a belated Happy Birthday to Timothy and enjoying cake baked into ice cream cones.
