Good morning! I took the twins to early Mass and then met the rest for breakfast. Michelle will take the girls later this morning because some of her CCD class students receive their 1st Holy Communion at that Mass.
While Michelle and the girls are at Mass, I've been working on photos from the past couple of months. Just realized Imagemagick is multithreaded. Cool! It makes rescaling a whole directory of image files even faster.
Played some MarioKart Wii with my boys, but now starting to wonder where my wife and daughters are. And I can't call because Michelle accidentally left her cell phone here at the house. Tried to play episode 3 of Dr. Who but realized I downloaded the wrong thing. I had downloaded "Dr. Who Confidential" which is the BBC's new behind-the-scenes commentary for each episode.
Was going to take the family to Amigos Mexican Cantina, but sadly because the girls returned from shopping so late, the restaurant was full. [It can be hard to seat a family of 7 at prime time!] I sent Michelle over to the Pasta Loft Restaurant around the corner and they had room for us. So we shifted gears from a Mexican dinner to an Italian one.
Got the boys down to bed and then watched the 3rd episode of Doctor Who - "Victory of the Daleks" (related link) Interesting moral dilemma.

Comment: While the girls were away at Mass, I put this together from stuff in Abby's camera.
Al Kaprielian Official Full Length 25th Anniversary Tribute
Comment: Over 25 years ago NH's own Al Kaprielian started his unique weather broadcasts. Growing up in Chicago, I never saw weather presented like Al does. Few can make people anticipate a weather forecast like Al. Sadly he was recently let go with several of the others on that staff. I wish WMUR-TV could pick him up.
Excerpt: The full length, full quality version of the tribute video presented to Al Kaprielian for his 25th anniversary of broadcasting the weather on WNDS/WZMY. Al Kaprielian was recently laid off after over 26 years of service forcasting the weather for New England. ...
Weighing the Evidence on Exercise - NYTimes.com
Comment: Some interesting research on diet, exercise, weight loss/gain, and the links between them.
Excerpt: a growing body of science suggests that exercise does have an important role in weight loss. That role, however, is different from what many people expect and probably wish.
