Report: Cancer Is the World's Costliest Disease via the American Cancer Society. "Chronic diseases including cancer, heart disease & diabetes account for more than 60% of deaths worldwide but less than 3% of public & private funding for global health."
Good morning! I'll be heading down to Boxborough while Michelle takes the kids to Canobie Lake Park. I'd say they're getting the far better deal.
Smooth, sunny commute in with temps in the upper 60's. A minor detour in Pepperell, MA. Definitely nice sunroof weather. Offered a Glorious Rosary for my mom who gets her scan results this morning. Spent the rest listening to more of "The Bros Karamazov".
Swoon! Love a Geek Pendant. It reminds me of the t-shirt I got Michelle a few years ago.
Updated my my car's fuel stats. Mileage has slipped the past several months because my new tires weren't inflated as high and Michelle is using my car more for local trips around Nashua and Merrimack. (more stop 'n go traffic along Rt. 101A) While MPG suffered a smidge, overall we're using far less fuel.
Mua-ha-ha! Watch out all of you Facebook'ers. (related link)

Interesting: 1975, The first digital camera -- How incredibly far we've come. Storing images on cassette tapes?! Wow! Takes me back to my early TRS-80 experiences...
Since our girls were joking about the new Old Spice ads, this parody gave me a smile.
How-to: How to Email Text Messages to Any Phone I tested this out and it works. Just keep those emails short as SMS is only 160 character, subject line included.
Smooth drive home. Michelle and the kids are still at Canobie Lake. Heading back out to find some dinner.
While driving over to Subway's, I discovered XM/164 -- classic, old time radio. Cool!
Put Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky in my Audible wish list. If I don't make it through The Brothers Karamazov, this story of his is a mere five hours long.
Video: The Brothers Karamazov from 1958 with Yul Brynner and William Shatner is only available on VHS. I can't believe it was never converted to DVD or digital media. I mean, Yul Brynner?!
