Good morning! I dropped Claire & Abby off at their schools and head down to the office. I'm now done with the first half of The Odyssey. I'll have to transcode and burn a CD with the second half tonight/tomorrow.
Wish I was at our San Diego HQ campus today. The legendary "Mythical Man-Month" Fred Brooks is speaking at Qualcomm this morning.
Because of Firesheep (a Firefox WiFi snooper) I remind my friends to use the https (note the 's') web versions of Twitter/Facebook/etc.

Walked over to the cafeteria. I foresee employee vision problems soon, ie. folks having a hard time seeing themselves working this afternoon.
Hmm. I've been studying org-mode recently & now I find my friend @MarcNo is giving a talk on it tonight in Manchester. (related link)

Smooth drive home from work. Wasn't really watching my driving but somehow still achieved 55mpg tonight. Since I had no audiobook prepared, I just listened to Tech News Today #103. Wish I could go to the org-mode talk up in Manchester, but I'm tired and have a conf. call at 9 o'clock.
It has finally arrived in today's mail. I've finally broken down. Microsoft Office:Mac 2011. See snapshot below. I just got too annoyed with teaching people how to import/export from iWork and OpenOffice. We now have The Real Thing.
Also in today's mail, "The Art of Manliness", seen at right. It's an entertaining book. Claire was getting a kick out of it. The link takes you to Amazon where you can "Look Inside".
One last 9 o'clock conference call and I can call it a day. Good night all!
