Good morning! I dropped the girls off at school but am working from home today. Michelle dropped the boys off and head to Nashua oncology for her Herceptin infusion. For the moment I'm enjoying the solitude of a quiet house and working by the fire. Very New England'y. We've had a rainy morning but it's supposed to clear up around lunchtime.

Congrats (or condolences?) Chicago. Former White House chief Rahm Emanuel has formally announced he is running for mayor.
As promised by our local weatherman, I just saw the sun break out! After driving the girls to school in pouring rain, this is a nice 180.

Back from a good meeting with my spiritual director. Michelle is back from her Herceptin treatment. Only 3 more to go. We just had a power outage for a short spell -- 10-15 minutes or so. And the girls have just come off the school bus. Back to work.
Installed "Google Chrome to Phone" on my personal & work laptops & my phone. Very cool. Push web links, text snippets, maps, directions, phone numbers, etc. from my laptop directly to my phone. Like a magical copy 'n paste across the ether.
On a conference call tonight from 6-8pm.
After the call Michelle, the girls, and I watched the new episode of The Middle. Sometimes that show hits too close to home.
Did a little research on if I could make MovableType, the ancient software I use to help me create this site, do something like the URL shorteners out there. For now I've decided the individual archive links are short enough. For instance "http://bilikfamily.com/p/2271.html" is pretty short but perhaps I could shave off the ".html" someday.
