Good morning! I was just about to update the website, but the server is down. That's quite rare. Fastmail is about as solid as Google. Oh well, the update is queued up and ready to be synced later when it comes back up.
Dropped the girls off and had a smooth drive in. Listened to more of Introduction to the Devout Life, chapters 14-20 along the way. Had a bit of a close call near the end of my commute when I was trying to make a left turn. A car from the other direction stopped and flashed its lights that I should make my turn. Shortly thereafter a car behind it tried to go around it and was heading toward me in the middle of my turn.
This past year I've enjoyed my "In the 603" tshirts and hoodies. But in just a few more years, our cell phone growth will require us to go beyond our legendary single area code, ie. 603. My friend David Brooks explains.

Just a phishing warning: I got two fake but very realistic looking emails about upgrading my Adobe Reader and Skype clients. Avoid.
Had a smooth drive home, listening to more of St. Francis de Sales along the way. Went directly to Golds Gym for the Step circuit and abs class.
When I came home, Timothy proudly announced that he finished reading "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and now has started another book in that series, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw."
Had a good long call with Ed (Daniel's godfather). Even though our busy lives and distance keep us from talking often, he's one of the few people besides me who can switch gears freely in a discussion between digital architecture, Catholic theology, and child rearing. That always makes for hour+ conversations, much to our spouses' chagrin.
Before I wrap up for the day, I needed one last modification to my new daily archiving script. I'd forgotten that in Perl, the sort function needs a special type of comparison function. Often it looks like a spaceship and is nicknamed the "spaceship operator": <=>. It's essentially a big hodge podge of greater-than, less-than, and equal-to all in one operation. Now my updates are in proper chronological order. Good night all!
