Good morning! While I was reviewing a trailer of the Despicable Me minions, I also found this cute teaser that they did prior to the movie's release where the minions are to appear on The Biggest Loser.
Done with Mass and the blessing of the throats. Having breakfast with the family at DFE.
Michelle, Abby, and Timothy went out to get a birthday cake for Tim. Meanwhile back at the ranch, I re-patched our Nintendo Wii so that it could load games from the portable USB hard drive attached in back. Someone had updated the Wii and Nintendo undid a few a my hacks, breaking the hard drive ability. Now I'm just installing "Just Dance 2" on that hard drive. Now I'm just looking at some new themes to skin the hard drive menu with something a little more exciting.
Video: 1994: Katie Couric And Bryant Gumbel Try To Figure Out What This ‘Internet’ Thing Is. Sure! Now it's everywhere but it's sometimes hard to remember how new it was a decade and a half ago.
Took Timothy candlepin bowling as part of his birthday. Just he and I, father and son. Came home to the sight of Michelle and Abby playing Just Dance. Swoon!
It appears that our Internet is down. Only 3 out of the 4 indicator lights are on, even after power cycling the cable modem.
And now we're back online. Curious. I'm going to keep my eye on things tonight.
Took the family for dinner at Kowloon Wasabi. Usually when we go there, it's relatively quiet but tonight nearly every table was taken. I'm happy for them! When we got home Timothy asked if I could put a media player on his homebrew Nintendo DS. I installed the most common one among the DS homebrew community: Moonshell and put a few of his favorite pop songs on his uSD card. He's so excited now. "My DS is playing music!"
As our final nerdy coup de grâce, Timothy and I transcoded the Despicable Me mini-movie "Banana" into a Nintendo DS compatible format and put it on his DS. We were both so excited when it worked. His older brothers thought it was pretty cool to see video on a DS. After he showed his mom, we brought out the cake and ice cream and celebrated his birthday a few days early. See a few snapshots below.
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. Watched a little Disney with Abby. Actually dozed is more accurate -- I'm taking after my dad. Good night all!
