Good morning! We're waking up to another heavy snow storm. Looks like it'll be out of here in about an hour. Not sure what this is going to do to our Mass plans yet. I'm hoping I can get it cleaned out and we can still make the 10:45am Mass.
Michelle's a little miffed at Jingle. He came in from outside, lookin' like snow kitteh, and then shook off like a dog after a bath. Michelle says there's about 5-6 inches of fresh snow outside now. Luckily it looks lighter and fluffier than the last storm which was more of a mix of snow, sleet, and rain (ie. slush).
Michelle is about to bust a mental circuit breaker: her beloved red 4 slice toaster busted this morning, Oster doesn't make that model anymore, eBay doesn't have it, it's still snowing, and now Jingle threw up on the carpet.
We never made it to Mass because the snow was still going strong throughout the 10:45am Mass. Michelle and I eventually went outside after lunch and cleaned out the snow. We got much more than anyone had forecasted. When I got inside I noticed our network was acting flakey and rebooted the modem and router. Then I decided to update the firmware on our router. Michelle ran out to DFE to get us some coffees.
I folded laundry while the boys and I watched Doctor Who: The Shakespeare Code. The actor who played Shakespeare reminded me of the one who later played Vincent van Gogh in season 5. I had to go double check the wikis to confirm that they weren't the same.
While the girls are at friends' house, I took Michelle and the boys for dinner at the Milford Red Arrow Diner right off the Oval. One of the things I love about Milford are all the little New England diners it has at its center. Red Arrow Diner, Riverhouse Cafe, Union Street Grill, Cafe on the Oval in addition to Amigos, Brick House Pizza, Pasta Loft, China Golden. I would love it if a Thai restaurant came to Milford.
Michelle is going to make a run to bring the girls the stuff they'll need for a sleepover at their friends. I'm going to start my prep for this weeks' RCIA, just hangin' out in the basement with the wood stove on while the boys surf on WebKinz.
Fake Science: What is binary code? ;-]
Got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers. As Michelle was doing the bills, we discussed the full cost of her teaching her fitness classes in Merrimack. Between gas and mileage, her “volunteering” costs ~$1500/year. She's debating giving that up and just teaching locally here in Milford. We also reviewed the total cost of when my oil pan got pierced. It's questionable whether it was worth it to get insurance involved. Had the engine been ruined, certainly. But it seems like I shut things down before damage occurred. They didn't cover much and delayed the repairs by a week while we waited for approval. Oh well, good night all!
