Good morning! It's the 1st Sunday in Lent. Happy to see my phone automatically adjusted for Daylight Savings Time, just like it always has.
Going back down memory lane again. The original Mac Plus from 1986 had a 9-inch 512×342 pixel monochrome display with a price tag of $2599 -- in 1986 dollars! The iPad has a 9.7 inch, full color, multitouch display at a resolution of 1024 × 768 for $499. In some sense the iPad and now iPad 2 lives up to (related link) "the computer for the rest of us".
Amazing interactive demo showing the damage along the Japan coastline near the quake. As you hover your cursor over the images and move right and left, it's like you see Mother Nature using an eraser on the coast.
Took the family out for breakfast at DFE. Now the boys and I are watching a Doctor Who: Daleks in Manhatten. Meanwhile the girls are out shopping at Kohls.
Signs of spring around the corner. While the girls were out, we assembled the second of the Christmas present electric scooters. I also re-inflated the boys' basketballs from last year. They had fun outside with basketballs, jump ropes, and hula-hoops. We still have about a foot of snow cone'ish snow on the lawn but things are melting and at least the roof is clear. I checked the plow damage to the fence and double checked how the border brook is flowing.
