Happy 45th Wedding Anniversary to my folks! It is 45 right?! It'd better be! If it's 44, “Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do...”
I love hearing greenies talk about nuclear power as expensive. Are they saying its expensive compared to coal and gas, or expensive compared to wind and solar? Wind and solar are also expensive and unlike nuclear they're also unreliable. Meanwhile by limiting mining and drilling, the greenies are making coal and gas expensive. If you want to argue by safety, fine, but drop the "it's expensive" argument. All you've done for the past decade is make energy expensive.
Good morning! Timothy finished another of his books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw. Michelle went over to Hampshire Hills to pick up a tired Claire. Hope she brings home some coffees on the way back...
As I get ready for Doctor Who season six in a month or so, I was looking at this climax from the pilot of season five, where we first meet Matt Smith as the new Doctor. I love his bravado in this scene. Basically sort of a "do you know who you're messing with?" kind of a scene. All the more funny because it's not like he carries a gun, special martial arts skills, or similar. But he will take you down!
Just back the muscle mix class followed by the Step and abs class at Golds. While I was out the children watched Tales from Earthsea on DVD. It's the latest US release from Studio Ghibli. This one was done by Gorō Miyazaki, son of the famous Hayao Miyazaki.
While Claire is resting I took the rest of the family out for lunch downtown at Cafe on the Oval. While we were out I took this brief YouTube video of the water that feeds into the Souhegan on the south end of The Oval. Then we swung by DFE on the way back for a couple of coffees. The weather is so nice outside. Sunny and 43°F. The kids have their jump ropes, scooters, etc. while Michelle is doing some bits of spring cleaning.
Via CurtJester: I keep trying to pass my book "The Quotable St. Joseph" to publishers, for some reason they think it is too short.
Michelle, Abby, and I were reminiscing about the fun times playing Zoombinis. Sadly never made after 2001. :-(
Watched Doctor Who: Evolution of the Daleks with the family. It was part 2 of the episode we watched last weekend.
Got MobileOrg working on my phone. I had tried a few months back but didn't notice I'd accidentally put a space in the URL needed to synchronize my data. I'm guessing it was a Swype issue. Either way ... now to refresh my memory on using Org-mode again.
Radiation dose chart. Just to help put things in perspective...
