Good morning! I almost fell for a phishing scam. I got an email that looked just like the emails that Apple sends out on a regular basis announcing new products and sales. This one gave the impression that Adobe Photoshop was now available in the Apple App Store for $149. When you click "Buy Now", it tried to take me to a fake site but Chrome flagged it right away. You can see a snapshot of the email below.
Feeling another tinkering itch. You can download ChromiumOS, the open source release from Google of the software that goes into their Chrome laptops, and run it in a virtual machine like VMWare and VirtualBox. Will be trying it out soon to get a feel for what it's like. (related link)
It's a big day this afternoon. Timothy is making his First Holy Communion. He's been eagerly waiting for this for several weeks now and this past week has been counting down the days.
Played around in the ChromiumOS environment. Imagine a laptop that booted quickly, gave you a login screen, and then ran the Chrome browser full screen for websites and webapps. That's pretty much it. If they can keep the price down and battery life up, there's a market for it.
Ugh! Just back from Golds. I went for Muscle Mix class and Claire came to join me for the Step 'n Abs class after it. On the way home we noticed that Haywards flavor of the month is Strawberry Banana so we ordered a shake to share between me, Claire, and Michelle. For Michelle and I it brings back memories as we often ordered them from Rallys (now Checkers) when we were dating back in pre-historic times. (ie. 1989)
Timothy and I went to Confession at 3pm. Later at 4 o'clock Mass Timothy made his First Holy Communion. Now we're having dinner at Chili's. See some snapshots below.
Numbers are in: The Season 6 Doctor Who premiere was the most recorded U.K. show ever! (related link)
Laughing with my daughters as we watch High School Musical 3. "Oh no! They're singing AGAIN!"
