Good morning! Still a bit quiet around the house. Just ordered some memory to help upgrade Timothy's aging laptop from 512MB to 2GB. That should give his Linux some room to breath. ;-)
Back from Mass and having breakfast with the family at Donut Fresh Express.
Timothy and I are trying to update Michelle's Dell Mini hackintosh to the latest version of Snow Leopard. Hackintosh's require a little hand holding when doing updates so I'm way behind. We're going to try to go from 10.6.1 to 10.6.8. If we can do it, she'll have access to the Apple App Store and I can install Angry Birds for her to play while she's sitting at chemo.
Took the kids out for dinner at Milanos. This afternoon Timothy and I bailed on the gyrations to update Michelle's Hackintosh. We turned it into a linux netbook with the latest version of Linux Mint. There were a few little things to setup but now it's downloading stuff for this week's chemo session.
After dinner Abby and I watched Doctor Who: Voyage of the Damned. Others caught bits and pieces of it. It was "the Christmas Special" for 2007. It stars Kylie Minogue as Astrid Peth, a one-off companion for the Doctor. You can't look at this scene and not think "Is that a Sonic Screwdriver in your pocket or ...?" Overall a good start to season 4 of the new Doctor Who.
