Spotify Finally Launches in the USA

Good morning! It should be a relatively quiet day for Michelle and the kids. I've queued up “Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2” for the boys to watch later. I listened to Buzz Out Loud #1509 on the drive in. It looks like we've gotten a break from our mini-heat wave. It's drier and only 63°F outside. The A/C can take a breather today as the windows are opened up.
I've been listening to this debate about Netflix's price increase. While yes, for many it went up substantially, I still think it's a bargain. I still have memories of renting DVDs at the local Blockbuster, paying more, and having worse service. Also, stream a couple of movies or TV shows from Amazon and you'll easily meet or exceed what Netflix wants per month. I'm hoping with some of the additional money Netflix can negotiate more TV/movie deals for their streaming service.
Wow! Also in Netflix news: Netflix is now available on the Nintendo 3DS. Not that we own one... yet. If the price ever comes down from the exorbitant $250, perhaps at Christmas, I'm sure my kids will be asking for ones. All of their DSLites are gettin' creaky...
Signed up for a Spotify Premium account for music. Figure I'll kick the tires for a while and see if it lives up to the buzz from overseas. If it goes well, I may have to think about cutting out something else, like satellite radio or my Audible account. But perhaps it can cut out the times Claire and Abby ask to buy music at iTunes.

Had a conference call to take at 5 o'clock so I left work around 6:30'ish. I listened to Buzz Out Loud #1510 on the way home. For them the big buzz was the opening of Spotify, but they also joked about one major upside of Google+ over Facebook and Twitter: because of the age limit, Google+ is Justin Bieber-free. *snort*
Because I didn't get home until 7:30, I missed getting a workout in tonight. I hung out with the boys while Michelle and the girls went shopping because Abby has a birthday to go to tomorrow. Well that and they just wanted to get out after a day of babysitting the neighbors. I got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers and did the same. Good night all!
