Good morning! I listened to Buzz Out Loud #1518 on the drive in. I also got a chance to catch up with my sister Suzy vacationing in Michigan, for which I'm jealous. And just as I was about to get onto I-495, my car crossed the 100K miles point.
My baby is no longer a baby. (see image at left)
Just confirmed that my wife's younger sister and her family packed up and left northern California. They are now in southern South Carolina, just over the border from Savannah, Georgia. Frustrated with the school system in CA, her husband took a position at a school there.
Microsoft considering distributing their servers to help you heat your home. If there was enough bandwidth to the house and they paid for the electricity, it would be an innovative way to use all of that heat that servers farms generate.
After a day of writing a killer test while listening to presentations from lunch onward, I left the office for NH. I listened to This Week in Tech #311 along the way and had a quick catchup with my folks. Michelle also had a busy day playing the role of taxi mom today: Claire's job, Timothy's piano lesson, Michael's school, etc. in addition to taking them all to the town pool. So when I pulled up, she was just returning from bringing home some carry out Chinese food for dinner.
