TS Irene
Good morning! After having breakfast at the hotel, we head over to the water park for a while. When they had enough we went back to the room and watched last night's Doctor Who, Let's Kill Hitler. That was an excellent start to the second half of the sixth season.
Since at 1 o'clock we only had heavy rains but reasonable winds, we ran to the van and head over to Friendly's for lunch. It's probably our last full meal of the day. The lights did flicker a few times during the meal, but things held out.
Once the bulk of the storm passed by, the kids took the camera with its simple video abilities and recorded a few spoof news type stories, feigning desperation almost as well as the major media do. Perhaps I can upload and merge them when I get home.
Taking my wife out to dinner at Thai Nakonping as we wrap up our vacation.
Forgot to mention that during the leftovers of TS Irene, I taught Claire, Abby, and Timothy a Bilik family tradition from when I was a kid: playing Kings in the Corner. Michelle worked kid level crosswords with the twins. While we were out at dinner, the kids went back to the water park for more trips down the slides. And luckily Claire was able to straighten out some crossed wires about work. She got scheduled last minute to work tomorrow even though she'd made clear that we were on vacation.
