Good morning! Claire and Abby served the 7 o'clock Mass. After Mass we went to DFE for breakfast and then dropped Claire off for her 9 to 3 shift at Subway. Once home we watched last night's Doctor Who: Night Terrors. Creepy!! But also touching. Yes, the two combined in one.
Just finished taking the kids swimming. The Milford pool has been closed for the season. We now have to rely on the area Y's until next summer. Sad to say that within minutes of us getting in the pool, they shut down the water slide. At least we got to just enjoy swimming. Last weekend at the Hampton Inn's water park, you really can't swim that easily.
Lunch break at KFC/Taco Bell (yes, we're big spenders!) and then a stop at A&E Coffee Roastery.
Timothy wanted to play with Puppy Linux but it acts a bit flakey in a virtual machine. So I've created a bootable USB thumb drive of it for him. We'll see if that works out any better.
Well, Tim and I got Puppy Linux up and running on his flash thumb drive. We even got WiFi working pretty quickly (a rarity in Linux on his old hardware). On the other end of the spectrum we got KDE installed on his main Linux distribution. From spartan Puppy to a full featured KDE, he wants to experiment with it all! Michelle ran out to pick up Claire from work. Perhaps tonight we can watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean.
OK, I know this might be getting monotonous to read but now I got to do the computer work I'd been planning. I finished the install of ArchLinux in a virtual machine. There are some decent YouTube tutorials here and here. Got audio and graphics all working and setup the gianormous Gnome Desktop Environment. Meanwhile Tim was tinkering with the stuff we setup earlier.
Michelle made her delicious chicken chili for dinner. Afterwards we played several rounds of Kings in the Corner and then watched Pirates of the Caribbean. Michelle and I got the boys tucked in bed with their prayers and followed soon thereafter. Good night all!
