Good morning! It's an overcast one up here today, but should be better tomorrow. I dropped the girls off at their schools and stopped in at Cafe on the Oval for a solid breakfast. I offered up the Luminous Mysteries on the drive in, wrapping up my Rosary Novena interceding for Michelle's successful radiation therapy and in thanks for a successful excision surgery. I caught up with my folks on the tail end of the commute.
Michelle has a pretty light day today. She'll of course have radiation treatment #4 after lunch and she's substitute teaching a cardio class tonight. She's helping out the woman who sub'd for her when Michelle was recovering from surgery and trying to let her shoulder heal.
Any guesses on when Neal Stephenson's "Reamde" will come out as an Audible offering? I loved Anathem, his last novel.
I recently noticed: Google's Fast Flip was shut down earlier this month. Too bad. It was kinda cool.

<geek> I would tell you a UDP joke but you might not get it. </geek> (Yes, it's old, but still brings me a nerdy smile...)

Left work around 5:30, listening to an interesting episode of Security Now #315 that I'd missed a couple of weeks ago. Went straight to Golds Gym for tonight's Muscle Mix class. As I arrived, Michelle was leaving after having sub taught for the Box 'n Body class. Time to get the boys tucked in bed and grab some dinner.
After getting the boys to bed, had a light dinner and tinkered with a Linux distribution called ArchBang, biding my time until its time to pick up Claire from work. I like it a lot. Modern, lean, nerdy. It's a derivative/offshoot of ArchLinux but when you're done with the basic install, there's a clean, graphical interface. When you install vanilla ArchLinux you're still at a command prompt and have another 15 minutes setting up a graphical interface.
Went to pick up Claire from work. On our way home I was coming around the bend when I thought I saw our neighbor's black and white cat, "Lucky". As I got closer, like a Looney Tunes cartoon, I realized that was no cat. It was a skunk! Luckily my car driving by it didn't scare it. When I got home I made sure all of our trash was secure from any curious vermin, skunk included.
