Good morning! Everyone is waking up from a late night (relative to our wimpy standards). Claire, who is 16 today, is already gone for today's cross country meet. I'll be getting ready for a workout soon.
Phew! Just back from a great Step 'n Abs class. I set the sprinklers on their test program and the boys are running around flagging the sprinkler heads with little orange flags. It's that time of year... again. Time to give the lawn a core aeration and do a little over seeding. Oh joy!
I aerated the lawn this afternoon. When I got back in I phoned Claire to see what her status was. She was just about to start a piano lesson so about half an hour later I went out to pick her up. She told me that since she did well in this morning's cross country meet and substantially improved her time, the coach has moved her from junior varsity to the varsity team. Awesome! The downside was that she got a call to work at Subway tonight for the dinner to closing shift. No rest for the birthday girl today!

Dropped Claire off at work and am taking the rest out for dinner at Amigos.
After last night's low of 36°F, today's high of 63°F, and it being 58°F now and falling, it's time to turn on the wood stove for the first time this season, just to get the chill out of the house. I'm also breaking out my sweatshirts today. Hello autumn!
Michelle, Abby, and the boys are watching last weekend's Dr. Who: The Girl Who Waited. We've been waiting all week for a time when everyone could watch it and it hasn't happened. And tonight the new episode comes out.
Looking forward to watching Dr. Who: The God Complex tomorrow, probably after Mass and breakfast.

I picked up Claire from Subway. Today was an unexpected work day for her. I feel a bit bad that her 16th birthday was dominated with a cross country meet and work. And she has the 9 to 3 shift tomorrow too.
