Good morning! A brisk autumn one at that! I dropped the girls off at their schools and listened to more of "The Diamond Age" on my commute down to Boxborough.
Sometimes business have to fail before later innovations can be achieved. Look at the WSJ opinion of Steve Jobs back in 1993.
Went with a good friend from AMD for some lunch at New London pizza. Gorgeous autumn weather out there today.
I've been wrestling with environment variables, tool versions, scripts, etc. as I get my "re-born" laptop back to a usable state. Finally got the environment installed, built, up and running again on this new drive and environment.
Had a coffee a few hours ago with another AMD friend. While I like QC, some days I miss the guys who I knew from the ATI/AMD days. Just about time to wrap things up and head up to Golds.
Had a couple of delays heading out the office door, compounded by brief heavy traffic on I-495. Nevertheless I still head up to Golds Gym listening to more of "The Diamond Age" along the way. Better a bit late than not at all. Took tonight's Muscle Mix class. When I got home Timothy was heading to bed so that he could read his novel, "The Incredible Journey". Time for a bite o' dinner.
The twins are watching an old Phineas and Ferb. They're playing one of my favorite parody skits Disco Miniature Golfing Queen.
After I got the twins to bed with their prayers, I noticed my dad had called as I was finishing up at the gym. I called him back to discuss their upcoming visit. If mom's health holds out well, they should be here next weekend.
