Good morning! It was a very foggy one in Milford this morning as I dropped the girls off at their schools. Luckily it cleared up as I left the Souhegan Valley. I got a call from Michelle that overnight Comcast squeezed us more and removed our "upper channels", so now we have the most basic "economy" cable. I just need a few hours to get everything set up with the new equipment. I listened to more of "Reamde" on the drive down and stopped by our cafeteria to pick up an omelet to snack on as I catch up on overnight emails.

Lost track of time and went out for a solo ATM hunt and lunch in Acton. Found a foo-foo lunch spot called Sweet Bites. This morning's overcast weather is now a dreary, steady rain. I'm back at my desk with a fresh mug of hot Indian chai tea and deep in test code.
My kind of tree hugger!. Hat tip to Patrick Madrid.
Missed heading out for my strength class. It's hard to get in the mood for it on such a rainy day. At least got to listen to Open Line while I patched some API code this afternoon. Unfortunately it looks like this rain will pass about the time I get home so the commute north will still be not fun.
As expected, drove home with the wipers on full speed. On a whim I decided to retry XM's Android app. Either XM got their act together, Android improved, or perhaps it's both/and, but I listened to a steady audio stream over 3G the whole way home. Up until recently, I couldn't even get reliable audio over a solid WiFi connection with that app. Whether it's XM or Android, I'm just happy that it worked even better than my phone connections along the commute, seamlessly hopping between the native Sprint 3G and roaming onto Verizon's in certain spots without a glitch in the audio.
Got the first TiVo partly setup. Two calls to Comcast and I still don't have the CableCARD properly decoding encrypted signals. Hopefully by tomorrow morning it settles out. I don't want a third call to call. Good night all!
