Back to Work

Posted by Scott at 09:53 PM

Good morning! It's a chilly 24°F/-4°C here in Milford this morning. My Christmas vacation is officially over. Time to get up, get the girls to school, and head back to the office. I can happily say that I spent none of the past 11 days thinking about image formats, filtering modes, testing strategies, throughput, bandwidth, sample chips returning from the fab, etc. Now that must end. ;-] Michelle will drop the boys off at school and teach her Cardio Blast class at Golds. 6:13am

Dropped the girls off at their schools. Listened to a little of the No Agenda podcast for part of the commute and caught up with my dad the rest of the way. Now time to dig through 292 emails and get back to work. 8:58am

Nvidia GPU roadmap slips a year: “The short story is that Nvidia has once again admitted what SemiAccurate has been saying for literally years, their GPU roadmap had no chance of being released on the schedule they were promising.” 9:43am

Left work around 5:30pm to head to Bedford for the monthly Opus Dei Evening of Recollection. Turnout, while a bit light, was still decent considering how frigid it is outside tonight. Talks included Sincerity, Charity, and spreading the Light. I also had some more quiet time to reflect on Bishop Sheen's book "Life of Christ". 8:35pm

Charles Dickens Since I'd almost forgotten about the meeting, I'd had no dinner and was starving as I drove home in the dark 10-12°F night. I stopped by McD's for a couple of dollar menu items. When I got home everyone except Claire was in bed. Claire, reminding me of myself at her age, was up doing required reading for school: “A Tale of Two Cities”. 9:05pm

I did get some good news from Michelle. Daniel was the top speller in his classroom competition. In a few days he'll compete against the other fifth grade room champions at Milford Elementary. Win or lose, I'm just thrilled to see something he academically excelled at. 9:30pm

Tomorrow is the birthday of my godson, William. Will, if you're reading this, Happy 12th Birthday Buddy! I think we got your card in the mail, but I'll double check with Michelle to make sure. 9:52pm

‘Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.’
