Good morning! Although it is Friday, it's such a gloomy one. Temps are hovering around the freezing mark and it's raining. Hopefully it stays rain. I dropped the girls off at their schools. I head down to Boxborough, listening to EWTN til 8 o'clock and then to more of "Reamde" the rest of the commute. Today is office bagel day!
Met with a friend from AMD for lunch at New London Pizza. Crummy weather out there still, but at least the roads are not icy.
Left office shortly around 1 o'clock to work the afternoon from home. Abby might need a lift home from school and Michelle likely won't be available to help. I'm the backup if things conflict.
Turned out Abby didn't need a lift, so I worked at my desk through the afternoon with minimal interruption. So let me get this straight. The kids had off on Tuesday because of the NH Primary. They had off Thursday because of a snow day. And now they have a three day weekend because of MLK day?! Wow! I'm jealous!
Had a pretty lazy evening with most of the family. Claire and I picked up Abby and her friend from the Middle School dance. We swung by Wendy's so that they could buy small Frosty's to cool off. Abby's friend is also sleeping over tonight, so I suspect there'll be a lot of giddy laughter and teasing among the three girls for the next hour or so.
Wrapping up the night reading a little more of Bishop Sheen's "Life of Christ" on my Kindle. It is an awesome source of reflection on those events many of us have heard dozens of times. I highly recommend it, even if you're not Catholic. Good night all!
