Overnight we got about 1-2 inches of powder here in Milford, NH. Michelle and I just went out for a quick shoveling. Clear and ~17°F.
Got out early with Michelle and we shoveled the driveway and sidewalk. I dropped the girls off at their schools and went for a quick haircut. Michelle dropped the boys off and went for groceries. I'm working from home today.
My ol' boss and now co-worker, Chris, dropped off his old IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad for Timothy to do more tinkering with, now that the Dell he had been working on broke its hinge. Unfortunately Timothy has a dentist appointment after school so he won't be able to "play" with it for a while.
Went with Michelle for lunch downtown at Cafe on the Oval and coffees afterwards at Donut Fresh Express. Sunny and near freezing outside. The sun has nicely melted any residue on our driveway.
Since the chattering classes are all abuzz with Newt's wife, remember this: “My ex-husband, Ronald Reagan, lacks the character to be President.” ~Jane Wyman, 1980. Do ex-wives often say nice things about their spouses?
Wrapped up the day. Timothy is excited about the "new" IBM/Lenovo T43p laptop, a circa 2006 machine. He's currently downloading Lubuntu for it. Claire is going bowling with a friend and sleeping over afterwards.
Video: Just saw the trailer for Disney/Pixar's Brave, coming out this summer. It looks like it'll be a good CGI movie.
Downtown Milford icon Dick the Barber hangs up his clippers after 50 years. Many times when I enjoy a breakfast downtown at the counter of Cafe on the Oval, Dick is sitting on the counter stool next to me. I wish him well! He was a fixture of downtown.
Just got Timothy tucked in bed with his prayers. Abby and the boys are still up watching Disney and I'm not waiting' up for them. I'm doing a Sprint update to my Android phone. Among other things this update is supposed to remove the Carrier IQ software that was The Big Scandal last month in the cellular tech community.
