Good morning! I dropped the girls off at their schools and stopped at Cafe on the Oval for a quick breakfast. Since I got another CD from Lighthouse yesterday, I listened to it on the drive in. It had interesting insights on salvation history and covenants.
I got through my morning emails. I have solid meetings from 1 to 6 o'clock this afternoon, so if I want to get any 'real work' done, I'd better get started asap.
By the way it looks like Europe is getting the winter we usually get here in New England. I blame "global warming". :-P
Via @fredthompson: “Car previously owned by Obama fails to meet eBay asking price of $1 million. Maybe if it'd come with a full tank of gas…” Personally I'd rather have the Pope's old VW Golf. <grin>
My coworker swung by my office asking, "Have you played with Windows8 yet?" I said not yet, but will be very soon. I added, "ironically my youngest has played with it." To which she jokingly asked, "Can I call Timothy then?"
Had a meh lunch from the cafeteria. Decent chicken parm but the marinara was generic red sauce. Now for my afternoon of calls while squeezing in some debug.
Just discovered the homepage for my ol' hometown. Nice short URL too: vorg.us. (Village of River Grove)
Chrome at last arrives on Android. Yay! But requires Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Boo! It's like iPhone with respect to Siri (only available on newer iPhone 4S models).
Quite the evening. I managed to run Windows8 for the first time. And install tools. And render some images. Meanwhile back on my main machine, I took a peek at our 401(k) for the first time in over a year. I try not to look at it too often because market volatility can make you crazy. But now, time to head home. I'm a bit bummed that I couldn't attend an Opus Dei meeting, but work called... Time to head home.
Smooth drive home. Considering it's well beyond rush hour, is it really a surprise? I listened to more Lighthouse CDs on the drive home. Now just curing my hunger with a reheated bowl of soup. Timothy was excited that I dipped my toes in the Windows 8 pool today.
Over dinner I helped Timothy in doing the basics of an ArchLinux install. Got the boys all tucked in bed with their prayers. After a long day at the office, I'm going to call it a night. Good night all!

In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines human precepts.” — Mark 7
